Michael joined an international manufacturing & distribution company in 1978 as a graduate trainee. His early career was in HR. His experience and involvement in recruitment, organizational development and industrial relations proved invaluable for subsequent senior roles in purchasing, sales & marketing, operations management and general management.

He also ran successful projects in IT, total quality management and both downsizing and upsizing organisations. During a 37-year career he has worked in locations through the UK, in Ireland and Europe. He has also been afforded the opportunity of working for and with multiple nationalities benefiting from the contrasting cultural adjustments needed to work successfully in an international business environment.

Michael retired early to offer his experience in growing the family business and to spend more time outdoors.

Alastair has been involved in finance and venture capital for over 20 years. While still at university he founded two companies, one focused on entertainment and concierge services along with an online property portal. Both of which were sold, the former to his university student’s union and the latter to an insurance company. He then went on to work in investment banking which took him around the world from London to Paris, Hong Kong to Singapore and New York.

He left investment banking at 30 to become COO of a £31bn investment manager in Hong Kong. He focused on regulatory compliance, raising assets for the various funds from international investors and also created two equity UCITS funds for the firm before deciding a few years later to setup his own firm, specializing in consulting for both hedge funds and private equity and undertaking venture capital activities of its own. Within this role, he undertook a string of advisory appointments over the next 7 years, consulting C-Suites and Boards within private equity, real estate, renewable energy, investment management, cryptocurrency and a number of FinTech and PropTech startups.

He sold his interest in the firm in 2021 to return to the UK for family reasons. Since then he has setup Finanze Group, a diversified financial services company with interests in Property & Business Finance, Protection & Insurance, Estate Planning, Education, Publishing & Events, Technology and Origination & Lending. The Group continues to grow rapidly and further venture capital investments are scheduled to be made in the coming years.

He was ranked in the Top 30 UK brokers in 2022 and followed that up with being ranked in the Top 40 most influential property professionals nationally in 2023. He is highly sought after as a speaker and still handles some transactions himself for clients that have been with him since the beginning, or where the transaction is particularly complex. He also works as a Board Adviser to a pension’s administrator, a business focused on helping those with distressed finances, a housing charity and a real estate investment fund when he isn’t busy with his family or travelling to events.

Paul is a finance specialist, with an extensive career spanning over two decades in banking, mortgage, investments, bridging, and development finance. He is known and respected for his no-nonsense approach and plain speaking when it comes to simplifying this often-complex industry.

For the first twelve years of his career, Paul honed his expertise as a mortgage professional, distinguishing himself as both a broker, manager, and owner of reputable brokerage firms. During this period, he developed a comprehensive understanding of the industry, further solidifying his reputation as a trusted adviser.

In the subsequent nine years, Paul worked in Bridging and Development Finance, with six years of this operating as a Business Development Manager to several prominent lending institutions.  His invaluable insights, innovative approach and ability to deliver results made him a sought-after authority in the field.

Paul's unwavering commitment to excellence, deep industry knowledge, and enviable skillset make him a trusted source in the complex world of financial services. His clients benefit not only from his vast experience and extensive connections built up over decades in the industry, but also from his ability to create results in a continually challenging and changing landscape.

Mark Cooper is a dynamic entrepreneur with a diverse background in various industries, showcasing a remarkable journey of business expertise and leadership. With a solid foundation in the retail sector, he initially owned and operated a successful textile business for four years. His entrepreneurial spirit then led him to venture into the culinary world, where he established and managed a thriving coffee shop, leaving an indelible mark on the local community.

Driven by a passion for innovation and expansion, Mark transitioned into the furniture manufacturing industry, where he flourished as a manufacturing wholesaler for fifteen years. Over this period, he strategically built a robust network, employing and overseeing a workforce of up to 60 individuals, and playing a pivotal role in supplying high-quality furniture across Australia. His entrepreneurial vision further manifested through the ownership of five separate furniture outlets and the establishment of furniture manufacturing operations in Vietnam, fostering a global presence in the industry.

Always seeking new challenges, Mark diversified his portfolio by establishing and overseeing a successful statue and pot manufacturing plant in the Philippines, showcasing his adaptability and keen understanding of international business dynamics. Returning to his roots in Australia, Mark immersed himself in the vibrant and ever-evolving food truck industry, utilizing his extensive business acumen to carve out a niche and create a memorable culinary experience for patrons.

A visionary leader with a strong focus on operational excellence and strategic growth, mark continues to inspire and make an impact in the entrepreneurial landscape, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to innovation, quality, and community enrichment.

Imogen began working in Mortgages in 2019 after realising, when purchasing her own home, she had no idea how to even begin a mortgage process and who to ask and even after a lot of research on the internet was no wiser. She began working with a local mortgage broker providing tailored advice for high-net-worth clients when purchasing their residential properties. Imogen gained further experience working in the Buy to let and commercial mortgage space learning invaluable information regarding different lenders criteria’s and what boxes they want ticking.

Imogen then moved to Connect Mortgages where she was able to offer advice on all types of mortgages. She was therefore able to combine her skills to offer her clients the full service, taking into account their entire portfolios including any residential properties, in order to provide a tailored solution for their needs. She brings all of this experience to Finanze.

Samantha, or Sam as she prefers to be known, started her career in financial services in 1997 joining Halifax as a Personal Banker and Trainee Mortgage Adviser. She then moved across to UCB Home Loans initially as a Mortgage Adviser, where she obtained her CeMAP, before transitioning into a Business Development Manager managing the firms broker networks for the next 5 years. With being so highly respected, one of her broker firms, Mortgage Eye, ended up approaching her about a role, working as an independent ‘whole-of-market’ broker for them which she chose to pursue.

As a result of the global financial crisis she decided to refocus her energies on a new career in technology within media and advertising where she worked for over 10 years with Mediaocean. She managed a portfolio of key agencies and business partnerships that made up over 60% of their EMEA business, offering outstanding client service through strategic planning, capturing business needs through successful delivery and ongoing support along with technical problem solving and coordinating software testing. She was also responsible for managing a team of 6 reports.

She returned to finance and mortgage advice in April 2021. She has developed a keen interest in property investment during the pandemic and wanted to move back to the industry. She setup her own firm, Native Mortgages as an AR of Linear and progressed through achieving CAS status. She joins Finanze at a period of exception growth of the brand and is looking forward to helping make people’s property dream a reality. Alongside her passion, experience and skill she is an expert problem solver. She never looks at a transaction as a ‘one-off’ instead preferring to understand her clients motivations, aspirations and needs to plan for a long term synergistic relationship.

In her free time, she has a keen interest in renewables, wellbeing, nature and the community with a desire someday to build inspiring, community- led energy efficient villages, that are multi-generational, with family and community at their heart.

With over 25 years of diverse experience in the IT sector, beginning as an analyst and programmer, Mark climbed the corporate ladder to Managing Director, running multiple companies.  During this time, he ventured into the world of property investment, purchasing his first property in 2003.

However, in 2017, Mark embarked on a new chapter, leaving the IT industry to join a private lender, driven by a vision of making property his lifelong career.

Over the last six years, Mark has not only thrived with two different lenders but has also grown an extensive professional network. His involvement in multiple commercial conversions and five aparthotel projects has furthered his experience in the sector.

Mark's accomplishments also extend to raising over £3 million in private equity, demonstrating his ability to bring ambitious real estate projects to fruition.

What sets Mark apart is his unique dual perspective as both a lender and a developer/landlord. This vantage point allows him to understand the distinct needs and requirements of all parties involved, placing him in an exceptional position to provide funding solutions that cater to every individual's aspirations and goals.

Mark Muslek has successfully merged his IT expertise and real estate passion into a dynamic and forward-thinking career. His journey is a testament to what can be achieved when passion and expertise combine.
